I sign up for swaps and despite the occasional 'mad panic' I really like the way it's got me interested in sewing again...so it's all good :-)Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12594244181463706442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279474068763393751.post-72608267843617452482011-10-19T08:12:03.635+10:002011-10-19T08:12:03.635+10:00Looking smart on the bunting front! I didn't participate but I'm loving seeing all the different 'bunts' around the blogs.

I took part in a vintage sheet swap last year which was great fun...12" squares of sheets and they were sewn together to make a picnic blanky. We use it all the time! It was so much fun to receive other peoples fabric in the post.

Can't wait to see what bunting arrives in your mailbox. :)Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18204291906401193716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279474068763393751.post-51950875131922443342011-10-19T02:07:21.098+10:002011-10-19T02:07:21.098+10:00Don't be hard on yourself. Knowing how to solve problems and what short cuts will work comes with the experience. Every project brings more confidence. Yours looks great! I've never made bunting, what a great idea for a childs room.simply livinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15318689844578507680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279474068763393751.post-78552424234529590322011-10-19T00:51:16.934+10:002011-10-19T00:51:16.934+10:00Bunting just never gets old does it? I do owe you!

Tanya,I stitched up all the edges with the machine and then when I turned them inside out I used the glue gun to stick the final opening together, my hand stitching was just too messy. I also glue gunned on the doileys, I realised I should have stitched them to the fabric before I sewed the edges together...see quite a learning curve for me!Gooseberry Jamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00671764088273792304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279474068763393751.post-47241697957625037332011-10-18T20:04:29.891+10:002011-10-18T20:04:29.891+10:00I Love your bunting I know what you mean about dea...I Love your bunting I know what you mean about deadlines though.cathy@homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10280998274935488909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279474068763393751.post-17834621021253684792011-10-18T18:41:05.533+10:002011-10-18T18:41:05.533+10:00What a great idea. I rediscovered the joy of craft, however I'm afraid mine are going to look a bit shabby next to the others. Gorgeous creams and browns - I did 8 and have got 4 so far - lovely parcel to get in the post.Kirsty @ Bowerbird Bluehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12511849105347338654noreply@blogger.com
