Oh how time flies....! Sorry for my absence, again...
Things have been moving along as usual, I love my new community and continue to embrace everything it has to offer. It's been 12 months now since the move. Wow!
We have our eyes on a small property just out of town so if all goes to plan, come Spring, Gooseberry Jams pages will once again be splashed with chickens, sheep, fruit trees, country inspired recipes and cute kids enjoying some space to roam.
Perhaps then, my scatter brain may be clear again
and I can schedule some time to reunite with the blogging community.
Until then you may see me, you may not..
I leave you for now with a few images I have captured in the past couple of months..
I just love your top collage - the colour orange is just perfect for this time of the year. and off course your vintage china, turned my brown eyes green for a while! lol!
ReplyDeleteall that fresh produce looks amazing too! glad youre back to post in!
It's always a good feeling after I've posted, and It's lovely to know that everyone is still popping in for a read. I do love Orange!! It's amazing how much of it I have around my home.
DeleteI'm so looking forward to your gardens and chickens again! Fingers crossed it all works out for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ailsa, I have it all crossed!
DeleteHi, glad to hear you're back! I started reading shortly before the last hiatus, and was just thinking of you as I am working on a batch of preserves with some of this year's last strawberries. good luck on the property hunt!
ReplyDeleteCan you believe that it has been 12 months already! Glad you stuck around...
DeleteStrawberry preserve...enjoy! :)
Lovely to hear from you.........x
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne, I'm still popping in and out for visits when I can. xo
DeleteIt's great to see you back! And I hope the property you are looking at works out. It's funny how life gets in the way of doing things sometimes, but blogging is one of those things you can just come back to when you are ready.
ReplyDeleteMy challenge at the moment is getting brave enough to prune my fruit trees. Never done it before, so am worried I will stuff it up. But hopefully one of the local nurseries can give me some tips.
Love your collage photos!
Don't talk to me about pruning, I just pruned my first rose bush!!! Apparently you can't over prune a rose bush, I hope that is true!!! Good idea to get some tips first! :)
DeleteHope life is treating you well, looks like your enjoying that lovely country air!
Always so nice to hear from you Karen. Glad you are feeling more settled and enjoying the community and all it has to offer. I think they are lucky to have you and your gorgeous family! Look at little Laura - hasn't she grown! Hope your property plans come to fruition soon. all the best - cheers Wendy
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure to hear from you as well Wendy. I'm so excited to be venturing out to some property again soon...it's been a long wait, but it also confirms that this will be our new home and my Qld days are just wonderful memories now. Hope life is treating you well. xo

DeleteBeautiful photos, full of colour. I'm pleased you're settling in, I I think it takes a year to find your feet and get over the shock of transplanting.
ReplyDeleteHi Kirsty....I'm happy, so that's important... everything else then falls into place doesn't it! :)
Deletehi there, lovely pics..I was wondering what the cut up pieces of material and in a ball are for? looking forward to seeing something!
