  1. All in a days work :)
Do you spin any wool yourself Karen? It's something I have always wanted to try but yet to attempt.

    1. Thanks Christine, It was such a lovely afternoon, I got so many great photos.
I think the ram is a Dorset cross and the ewes are first cross, What ever that means!!

  3. Love the way the kids set the chairs up. Good entertainment for an afternoon. Very portable shearing set up for the shears, that must make it very handy for small lots.

    1. It's always entertaining watching someone else do all the hard work!! :) The shears weren't fantastic, hubby found it a bit tough, but they did the job for our small mob and the open space was probably a little more breezy then a shearing shed!

    1. Yes they are clean but I think they look funny, like little rats! I much prefer the big woolly look! :)

  5. Don't you love how kids make family events like this become like a theatrical viewing- chairs, ice blocks, intense concentration! I love the wooly love heart. Please tell us you sat it out with your biggish bump and just made tea and watched!

    1. Yeh, poor sheep, they always looked so hot in their woolly coats, we couldn't shear them any earlier though as it kept raining every weekend and they were always wet. Apparently you cant shear a wet sheep!
