Playdough Ingredients:
2 cups SR Flour
4 tbs Cream of Tartar
2 tbs cooking oil
1 cup salt
Food colouring
2 cups water
Mix the ingredients in a saucepan, stir over medium heat for about 5 min or until mixture congeals.
So, I used to stir this Playdough on the stove top until it 'congealed' then I spent the next three days soaking and scrubbing the pan until all the glug came off. Not any more....
What I learned toady: Add boiling water to the flour mix. Instant Playdough.
Microwave Playdough

1 cup of flour
2 teaspoon of cream of tartar
1 tablespoon of cooking oil
1/2 cup of salt
Food coloring
Mix all of the ingredients, except for the food color. Microwave it for about one minute and stir. Cook for about 30 more seconds. Keep repeating until the playdough is dough-ish. Knead the playdough and place the food coloring in. Its that simple!
I used a similar recipe to this one for the kiddies when doing Family Day Care. Less messy than a saucepan. (I think I added the food colouring too before cooking it)
