Angry Chickens

Chicken soup for breakfast, lunch and dinner at our place this week, we're all in bed with the flu!
Apparently chicken soup does more than just soothe the soul.
Some researchers are now agreeing with your old gran and saying that chicken soup does actually help fight of those sniffles. When mixed with a good dose of veggies it helps reduce the inflammation and mucus production caused by the common cold and flu. You can read more about this here
I'm off to the coop to find me a nice big boiler!
(No, I'm not really, My head hurts too much!!)
I'M OFF TO REST UP FOR A FEW DAYS, BE BACK ON TRACK AGAIN SOON

  7. Oh you and your poor family. It's horrible when everyone is sick, yuck. I hope your chicken soup does the trick. I think it's magical stuff myself and make big pots of it when someone is feeling under the weather.
    Take care,
    Anne xx

  14. Poor things. I hope you all manage to feel better soon.
When I went to see one of the Jude Blereau seasonal seminars she did a big section on chicken soup and the wonders of it. She was saying to make sure that you don' t get rid of the yellow liquid that forms on top because that is full of so many nutrients. It is the gelatin and is full of goodness.
    Take care
